Academic job search: Discover the path to success
This workshop is designed to inform graduates seeking careers in academia with insight into the stages of an academic recruitment cycle and an overview of labour market information. We will emphasize where to find employment opportunities and typical salary ranges, as well as important strategies to develop for pursuing a career in academia.
All about co-op
This workshop is designed specifically for students in Science and Engineering. Attend this workshop to identify the criteria to enrol, review the steps involved to secure a co-op, and learn how we can assist you before, during, and after the co-op experience.
Career development
This series of workshops is designed to teach students how to enhance their human skills to thrive in the modern workplace. Workshops will teach students how to work effectively with teams, present with confidence, how to enhance leadership skills and how to embrace a growth mindset to be ready for future opportunities.
You're currently job searching, or maybe you just landed a new gig. But, do you find yourself feeling more stressed out and worried than excited? In this workshop, we will discuss a range of common fears in the workplace; including feeling stuck in a job, imposter syndrome, how to move forward from a mistake, performance reviews and more.

Interview
This workshop will outline the best possible approaches and methods towards acing any interview, what questions to be ready for, what questions are the best to ask an interviewer and how to leave the lasting positive impression that will get you hired.
Job search strategies
Do you feel overwhelmed while job searching? Like you're lost in a jungle of job descriptions, companies and application requirements? Do you feel confused when you hear the words labour market information? We will discuss the in's and out's of the job market, how to understand it and use it to your advantage to be more strategic in your job search.At this workshop, we will outline just what a LinkedIn profile can do for you; the best ways to start, create, edit, update your profile, and how to connect with recruiters and potential employers on the world's largest recruitment website.
This workshop focuses on the importance of using different techniques of mindfulness to unlock student’s true potential and enhance their imagination. Students will learn tools and skills to improve focus in their career, recognize importance of mindfulness when job searching and heighten self-awareness.
Networking
You will walk away from this workshop with knowledge on how fundamental networking is for building, maintaining and working with professional individuals who could lead you to career opportunities in the future.
Purpose driven career exploration
Understand what is considered a challenge or opportunity in the workforce, and how this applies to career exploration and decision making. Learn how to explore alternative occupations and what challenges interest you the most using the SparkPath career tool.
Resumé and cover letter
You will learn the best possible ways to create a sleek, informative and effective resumé and cover letter that will surely help land you that position you dream about.
Self-Reflection for career decision making
Are you wondering what you want in life and what's important to you? Through interactive self-reflection exercises, you will explore how your interests, abilities and values align with potential careers.
You will learn why transferable skills are important, how to identify the transferable skills you have developed and how to communicate these skills on your resumé.
