The Student Refugee Program (SRP) is the only one of its kind to combine resettlement with opportunities for higher education for young refugees. This is a youth-to-youth sponsorship initiative to:

  • Empowers young Canadian students at the university to play an active role in the sponsorship of a student from a refugee background
  • Sponsor students to enter Canada as Permanent Resident to pursue higher education
  • Support the World University Services of Canada (WUSC) student transition into their new environment in Canada

About SRP at Ontario Tech

We sponsor a student every other year from a refugee background to have the opportunity to study at Ontario Tech. You currently support a WUSC student financially through your ancillary fees. We couldn’t have made this happen without your support!
