Commerce
Our Commerce program puts you one step ahead by combining the latest technology with the most current business and information technology trends.
Integrating key business functions with the use and understanding of today’s latest technologies, this program provides you with the skills necessary for employment in a competitive market.
The first two years of the program have a common curriculum featuring simulations, teamwork and case studies. In your third year, you may choose one of the following five majors:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Marketing
- Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management
- Technology Management
You may also complete a minor from one of these areas, or in Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Commerce - Accounting
Our Commerce program's Accounting major provides excellent preparation for an exciting career as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Our program is accredited by CPA Ontario and if you complete all required courses, you will be eligible to enter the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP). You will acquire up-to-date knowledge and develop professional judgment and critical thinking skills that are essential for today’s—and tomorrow’s—professional accountants.
Accounting graduates who are eligible for CPA PEP can apply to our Graduate Diploma in Accounting, which allows you to complete the first four modules of the PEP during the summer following graduation.

Our Finance major is affiliated with Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA) and partnered with the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). This major prepares you for the CFA and CSI exam and a successful career in the financial service industry. With extensive training in Bloomberg, Datastream, Capital IQ, and SDC database and simulated trading and portfolio management, you will get a technical and analytical background.

The Technology Management major in Commerce will develop your skills in data analytics, information systems, change management and data security.
It focuses on the business aspects of information technology management and is complemented with systems analysis skills. Students enrolled in this major are encouraged to also pursue a minor in data science to further develop their technical skills in preparation for careers in business analysis.

IT - Game Development and Entrepreneurship
The Game Development and Entrepreneurship program is designed to provide students with a wide range of game design development expertise. You will be immersed in the game design and development process from day one and you will develop video games beginning in your first year. Successful students develop their technical, managerial and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in a diverse team environment. Working with programmers, artists and designers you will create innovative products that push the medium to its limits.
You will acquire the knowledge and skills required to quickly advance your career in the gaming, interactive media and simulation industries, or become an entrepreneur in charge of developing and managing your own gaming/interactive media studio.
Our innovative gaming and virtual reality laboratory are equipped with state-of-the-art software and equipment including motion capture facilities, an audiometric (sound) room, 3D displays, and the latest in interaction devices to allow for the development of high-quality animation, 3D models, sound recording and production, game engines, and gameplay code.

We graduate some of Canada’s top experts in networking and information technology (IT) security. In this program, you will use leading‑edge equipment and laboratories to apply core concepts in fundamental and advanced networking, enterprise‑level network engineering, cloud computing, programming, scripting, databases, cryptography, policies, malware analysis, forensics and many additional technical topics.
The coursework prepares you to manage the continuing changes and challenges of the IT profession and to pursue various levels of industry certification programs including Cisco, CompTIA and (ISC)².
